Let’s continue to reflect during these winter months. I remember part of a poem from years ago. In the poem during winter, farmers whittled and oiled leather harnesses.
Today there are very few who have the luxury of whittling and oiling leather. However, the significance of this poem shows how, after a time of harvest, farmers took time to relax. As well during this time, some time was also spent in reflection and planning.
How often do we pause life activities to think about our life? Time to reflect is important. It’s too easy to get caught up in day-to-day routines and just stay on the current path.
Why then, is reflection so important? Well to reflect means to show, express, or be a sign of something, give back or show an image, or serves to give a particular aspect or impression.
If your current life path is all you want it to be, stay on your path, no need for change, because reflection will support you. Though for many there are desired changes that come to mind, then forgotten.
If no time is taken to reflect and relax, how do you decide what you want your life to reflect about you? Taking time to relax opens up the mind to be willing enough to spend time in reflection and the ability to direct your life.
Allow yourself to relax, and enjoy time to simply be so you can empower your energy to direct not only the directions you want to take, ways your want your life’s to be, but more importantly, time to replenish personal power, empowerment, and energy to be who you want to be.
