There are many who are overwhelmed now with a sense of expectation, a desire to understand their place in the greater picture. Many want to honor their Sacred Contract or at least understand what they are asked to accomplish during this life.
Many seem to be affected by the energy this year of the Fire Horse. It seems this Chinese year has generated more energetic impact than any other I remember. It may be because the Fire Horse comes only every 60 years, and it also seems more people are opening and evolving into states of higher awareness.
The Chinese Zodiac is a repeating 12-year cycle, with each year represented by an identified animal that represents specific attributes. Each animal is also associated with an element, creating an overall 60-year cycle.
Every 12 years comes a Chinese Year of the Horse. Every horse year comes with an intensified energy range that is five times larger than ours in normal years. This year, however, is unique since it is a Fire Horse year. The fire energy, along with the horse energy, demands more movement. Horses are astute animals, clearly aware of their surroundings and using their senses to form close relationships with the world in which they live. Movement is important to horses, although they do not wander aimlessly. They also find value in times of calm as they graze. They create balance in their lives by honoring both: movement and grazing. Then, this year, you add in fire. Fire is rapid oxidation that consumes energy and matter for as long as it exists. In the Year of the Fire Horse, there is a demand for movement that may be rapid and demanding, but it can be chaotic and confusing when lacking a plan, understanding, or direction.
What is equally important to remember about the horse is its desire for movement and rest, pause, and grazing. Take time this year to understand your path, create your plan, and pause to appreciate life.
Many people I work with have no idea what they are to do, what their plan is, maybe have some idea but things are not working in their favor, or some have clear ideas but still face blocks, fears, or uncertainties. I see them for coaching, readings, clearings, and a variety of other reasons to help them along their path this year.
First, I want everyone to understand: not everyone has signed up for this life to be a grand show. I’ve met people who have chosen this life to be a respite and recuperation life—an easy, vacation-like life. (Sorry, very few seem to choose this type of life. I was not smart enough to choose this, but now that I know this type of life is possible, I wish I had.) No contract agreement is small. Some agree to be a support person so another can do great things.
We may come agreeing to accomplish certain tasks. However, life and life’s distractions, confusions, and commitments interfere with our remembering and accomplishing our commitments in our contract.
