Lately, I’ve been hearing more from clients about changes in their pets. Many are noticing behaviors that feel unusual or outside their pet’s normal patterns. If you are experiencing this, you are not alone.

One of the first things I often remind clients is that our pets take on our energetic overflow. They are deeply connected to us and are sensitive to what we feel, even when we are not consciously aware of it.

In many consultations, however, the home environment itself appears relatively calm and balanced. There may not be obvious stressors that would explain the imbalance in the pet’s behavior. This leads to an important question: why is the pet still acting out?

For some animals, especially cats and birds, there is a strong connection to other realms. They move between these realms not only during sleep and dream states, but also during waking moments. The broader chaos in the world is not separate from them. Even if they live in what feels like a peaceful home, they are still connected to the collective environment through Dreamtime and through the energies we knowingly and unknowingly carry.

These animals are often here as part of the solution. Their behavior may reflect their attempts to receive, transmute, and balance chaotic energies. Because of this, it is important to clear their energy regularly and support them in releasing what they are taking on.

Dogs are also highly responsive to energy. They frequently absorb our overflow, especially during daily interactions. At the same time, they take on energies from the outside world. Walks, daycare, social environments, and even simple outings expose them to many different energetic influences.

Many dogs, like other animals, are spiritually evolved in ways we do not always recognize. They willingly take on energy from their human families, their communities, and even other animals because they want to help. For this reason, it is especially important to support them in releasing what does not belong to them. This helps maintain their physical, emotional, and energetic health.

Practical support can include regular energetic clearing, but also structured play, mental engagement, and manners-based activities. These help focus their energy in positive and grounding ways. Time in nature can be very beneficial, yet it also exposes them to additional energetic influences. The key is balance and awareness. Even positive environments can have unintended consequences if there is no healthy release.

At this time, all animals benefit from regular energetic release. This includes both those who are highly evolved and those who work more naturally and instinctively. One simple practice is to ask Earth Mother to support them by receiving and transforming chaotic energy. You may visualize these energies being drawn down into the earth, where they are burned, neutralized, or transformed into something beneficial. Because of the current intensity in the world, this is not a one-time process, but an ongoing practice.

Loving our pets is deeply important. Supporting their energetic wellbeing allows them to continue helping us and contributing to the balance of the world around us. When we care for their energy as well as their physical needs, we strengthen the bond we share and honor the role they hold in our lives.
