I’ve talked about affirmations previously. I believe affirmations help us align with the direction we want to be.

Often, it’s been said affirmations are to be worded in strong present-tense wording.

The problem with strong present-tense wording is that neither our conscious nor subconscious mind is yet ready to fully believe in the strongly worded present-tense affirmed desire.

I’ve said before, sometimes affirmations are best when done in steps. It may not be best to say, “I am a millionaire,” if your invisible money ceiling is much lower than a million dollars. If it is saying an affirmation like hearing a lie, most people will close down from hearing and believing it, so saying the affirmation will be pointless for a very long time. However, steps allow the conscious and subconscious to do the work to believe owning a million dollars is possible.

When creating a step affirmation, each step is a higher amount that challenges the belief system, but the challenge is reasonable enough to stretch the conscious mind without closing it down. Then, before the subconscious and conscious become too comfortable, the next step is introduced, and so on, up until the challenge of being able to realistically raise the money ceiling to owning a million dollars is within a reasonably attainable affirmation.

However, since effectively working with the step affirmation process, I have started working with another wording. This new wording uses language closer to stronger present-tense affirmation language, though it includes one magical word: “imagine.”

When you say, “I imagine I am a millionaire,” your creative mind has fun and plays with the idea of having a million dollars. A completely different part of the brain is activated. The part of the brain that can imagine bypasses the logic part of the brain, allowing the subconscious and conscious to better grasp the possibility more easily and quickly.

When the subconscious and conscious are fooled this way, it seems as possible as if it is actual, real, not far off, and no longer needs to surpass a ceiling. In the imagination, the ceiling does not need to exist; the mind is playing. The more the mind plays, the more the unattainable unfolds into attainable because, in the play, it has already been achieved.

The word of caution is that people still hold ceilings. Even in imagined play, a person sets up rules. Be aware of what you see as your rules. What are your comforts? Do you really want to own a million dollars and all the responsibilities that come with having that amount of money?

Think about your goal and how comfortable your end goal feels to you. Is it? If it truly is, but your conscious world is not yet in sync, imagine the outcome.

Any goal you believe you want to attain, take a moment and go to the end. How well does it fit for you? Can you and this goal fit together? If it’s not a fit as it is, what alterations need to be made to have a good fit?

You want a good end fit for the joy and peace of mind of your affirmed outcome and who you are becoming.

Joy and peace in life as you are achieving are important so you can enjoy life each day. If you are enjoying each day, you are not waiting to get something to be happy; you are happy.

Imagine being happy first, then what else you want.

Imagine what may be open to achieve.
