This is the final piece on using intentional knots and amulets for protection and well-being. This one will specifically focus on using these protective methods with your pets.

In the first piece, I provided an introduction about women’s magic of using knots and amulets; then in the next piece, I provided information about using knots; and in the last piece, I discussed amulets. Now it’s time to discuss the ways knots and amulets can be used and, more specifically, for a pet’s health, protection, and well-being. There may be some who want to use this magic for other items, like a home, land, or other items close to the intended caller. It was historically practiced that there needed to be a connection between the caller and the intended being or item. If you consider all things living on your property to be connected to you, then create the calling. However, when the object is not closely related, a calling is less effective.

As you choose, amend, expand, alter, and adjust these suggestions to include the object you are surrounding with a positive intention. However, what will be discussed here is how the techniques can be used as positive intentions for pets.

The knots and amulets are applicable to any and all pets. You decide what method to use to craft the intention for your beloved pet.

Think about: Why? How will the intention be used? How will your pet react to the knots or amulet? Think about your pet and what questions you come up with before you begin.

There are several ways to approach how you want to start. You can decide which methods you want to use, either knots or an amulet. Or you can decide what intention you want to set and then which method you believe would best fit with that intention. You may also want to decide if there is more than one intention you want to set and which method or methods might work best for a couple of intentions together or for each of the multiple methods. Do you need more than one set of knots and/or amulets? You may choose to use one technique with one intention and another with another intention.

For our pets, we want to use more than one intention for different activities. Since our pets participate in a variety of vastly different activities, we want to use more than one method to hold each activity’s intention. For instance, we bring our pets boating. I use knots to call on both the water to be calm and safe and the earth to tie our pets safely back to the land. Then each pet can have their own cord because they each have their own life jacket. However, if there were shared life jackets, I could either have one cord to go on the life jacket they used that day or call a joint intention for whoever used that life jacket to be safe. Again, you decide on the way you want the intention to be used and the wording that best fits you.

Our pets also go to events with us and are often handled by multiple people. Since we have more than two pets to choose from and each experience is different from one another, I create layered intentions that cover this experience for our pets.

First, I would create a joint intention, probably asking the divine spirit to provide a base covering whichever of our two pets go with us.

Second, I’d word an intention that all travel easily and be held in safe and calm travels.

Third, when handled by others at the event, I create the intention that the pet be surrounded in a bubble of protective light so any energy that is not theirs to hold will be blocked.

Lastly, I create an intention that they have favorable interactions with all.

Since there are so many parts to this calling, I would use an amulet with each part layered to cover whoever is with us that day. I’d use a triangle to represent the divine and either a hair from each pet to be a part of the amulet or along with the generally created call, a separate something that represents each, such as their name in symbol or one symbol with each one’s name in it, even pet name tags can be used to represent the pets. Then each separate intention would be created separately and one layered on the other into the one amulet.

You can do what seems best for you. I used knots for when we would be in the water because we have small dogs, and a knotted cord or string is light and is less likely to weigh a pet down. Don’t worry about the process. Deciding on a method does not need to be complicated. Simply use whichever method you want.

All methods are somewhat interchangeable with their own unique advantages and disadvantages. Maybe the best consideration is which you think will work most easily with your pet in a way that fits well with the use of the intention. Some pets would not want an amulet hanging down, whereas another may not mind that, or another may find it easier to have a knotted cord wrapped around their collar, kennel, bridle, or wherever you plan to place it. Most importantly, consider your pet’s personality, disposition, lifestyle, and intentions that will be set and give you comfort.

As mentioned before, knots can be tied by using a simple knot or in a fancier knot. Different knots can have a slightly significant meaning. Above all, remember it’s the intention and wording of the intention that holds more strength over a particular knot. Once the cord is created, decide where and how the cord will be used. If on a kennel, crate, or stall, can you let the cord hang down or does it need to be out of reach? If there is a place and you want it to hang down, have it hang down. If hanging down might attract the pet to play or tug at the cord, you can wrap the cord up and around so it’s not hanging down. Even though having an intention hanging down means the intention is set and fixed, whereas curls or wrapped cords can imply ongoing or flexible; again, set into the intention what is needed for the highest regard for the intention. The knotted cord does not need to be in close proximity to the pet. I may like mine to have the intention close, but it does not need to be, just as the women held the safety of their men on rope belts they wore.

As well, when choosing an amulet, you need to also think about how the amulet will be used with the pet. Some pets automatically try chewing on anything that’s on their collar. If your pet is a chewer, placing the amulet on their collar is not advised. A better placement for an amulet may be to pin it to the underside of a bed, near a kennel, crate, stall, or pet area—you decide. Or just like the women who wore the roped belts, the human partner of the pet can also be the one to carry or place the amulet in an area they believe will support the intention.

You may also want to embellish either a knotted cord or amulet with intention-supporting items like stones, colors, or shapes that represent and support the intention. A cord may include a lava stone so essential oils or enhanced water can be included, or other stones that help keep the energy clear and protected or have qualities that align with the intention. For example, if I choose to include a stone on the cords used for water activities, I would choose a tiger’s eye over a blue water stone. The tiger’s eye would be for protection and to bring them back safely to land. But if we lived on the water, I might then choose to use a water stone like lapis when also asking the water spirits to protect my pet while near water. With so many different stones and their meanings, as well as multiple meanings, you will be the one to decide what stone to use, why, and how.

Each color has a vibrational significance. So, when using different colors, the vibration and meaning of that color influence and support or may detract from the intention. Understand, if you also use color, what is the meaning of that color and how will it enhance or hinder the intention.

All said above applies equally to an amulet. Amulets can also be embellished and strengthened by stones, the use of color, and most importantly by the wording used in the intention. With an amulet, the shape that holds the intention becomes a part of the overall expression of the intention. The intention may be free-formed and strong enough to be on its own, with the strength holding its own. Or when held in a circle, the circle holds the flow of the intention. Whereas a rectangle elongates the intention, a triangle brings in more divine energy than a square. A square shows that the intention is held within limits. Understand the meaning of the shape that holds your intention symbol.

If you have more than one intention for your pet using multiple methods, keep the intention holders separated as long as it is pertinent. If you have created a specific intention for a specific reason, when the intention is no longer valuable as it is, destroy or disassemble the intention. Intentions have and hold active energy. So, if what they were created for is complete or needs to change, do not keep the old one; create a new one. In my case, if I put the hair from each of my animals in a knot or amulet, and one of those pets dies, the intention piece is no longer as strong, and it is better to strengthen it by re-doing the piece.

This is only the beginning of how you can use intention to bring goodwill, well-being, health, or protection to your pet. Do your own research to help you decide what is the best reflection of how you want knots or amulets to support your pet through an intention.

After your cord or amulet has been crafted, you can also vibrationally tune the energy to strengthen the intention. If you are not sure which vibrational HZ is best, use the love vibration of 528 HZ as a universal strengthening vibration. It will provide an extra level of power to the intention. I like to vibrationally tune the items we use for our pets.

The use of positive intention for goodwill, well-being, positivity, and protection, through knots and amulets is a wonderful way to bring in Universal Laws to help keep your pet in higher energy vibrations for their best regard. It’s a powerful way to show our pets how much we love them.

Show extra love for your pets by considering and designing a way to surround them with a higher intention for goodwill, well-being, protection, health, safety, or whatever you believe will further support them in their lives here on Earth.
